1. What procedures can learners train on with this model?
   The model supports ultrasound-guided and blind central line placement across internal jugular, subclavian, infraclavicular, supraclavicular, and axillary access points. Regional anaesthesia training covers interscalene, supraclavicular, and infraclavicular brachial plexus nerve block approaches, including the posterior interscalene technique.
2. How does the hand pump arterial pulsation work?
   The hand bulb pump simulates arterial pulsation, allowing learners to differentiate between arteries and veins under ultrasound. Veins are compressible under mild probe pressure while arteries remain uncompressed, closely replicating real patient vascular behaviour during live procedures.
3. What vascular and internal anatomy is included?
   Venous anatomy includes the internal jugular, brachiocephalic, subclavian, and axillary veins. Arterial anatomy includes the carotid, subclavian, and axillary arteries. The superior vena cava, right atrium, and right ventricle allow full guidewire and catheter threading. Internal landmarks include the trachea, suprasternal notch, clavicle, and manubrium.
4. How durable is the model under repeated simulation use?
   SimulexUS self-healing tissue withstands extensive repeated use while maintaining consistent needle feel and ultrasound image quality. Injected simulated anaesthetics are automatically expelled after nerve block practice, allowing the model to be reused without tissue degradation between sessions.
5. Can the model be upgraded or have its tissue replaced?
   Yes. The tissue insert is replaceable using the BPHNB673 replacement insert, extending the working life of the base model without the need for full replacement. The model can also be used with an optional automated pump for hands-free arterial pulsation during high-volume training sessions.
