  1. Which refill fluid do I need for my Blue Phantom model?
    Red fluid is for arterial models, blue is for venous models, yellow or clear is for fluid space models, and Doppler fluid is specifically formulated for Blue Phantom Doppler models requiring accurate acoustic blood serum properties — always check your model’s documentation before ordering.
  2. Why does the Doppler fluid need to be different from the standard refill fluids?
    Doppler ultrasound imaging detects blood flow using sound wave reflection from moving red blood cells. The Doppler refill fluid contains simulated red blood cells that maintain the acoustic properties of real blood serum — standard refill fluids do not replicate this and cannot be substituted in Doppler models.
  3. Can I use any fluid to refill my Blue Phantom model?
    No. Blue Phantom specifies that only their approved refill fluids should be used — using non-approved fluids can damage the model’s internal tissue and void the warranty.
  4. How do I know when my model needs refilling?
    When the model shows reduced fluid resistance during needle insertion, vessel walls begin to collapse, or imaging quality degrades — these are signs the fluid needs replenishing.
